Compassion Australia is looking for a brilliant Communications Specialist (known internally as Narrative Specialist) for a part-time or full-time, 12 month parental leave position.

The successful applicant’s core responsibilities will be writing for event marketing materials, including email and web copy, writing promotional marketing proposals and proofing a range of marketing collateral. Other tasks as required could include social media copy, writing and editing magazine and newsletter articles, video and phone scripts, radio advertisements and direct mail copy.

The successful applicant will possess the following:

• Bachelor Degree in Communications, PR or similar discipline
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Substantial experience in communications, PR or relevant field
• Ability to work productively to deadlines within a team environment
• Creative thinking and problem-solving ability
• Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to interpret technical information
