Compassion Australia is part of a global Christian ministry working in 25 developing countries, that seeks to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name.

This key leadership role is responsible for providing business management leadership and consultation to the Ministry Relationships Team. This will include designing a consistent area team methodology and aligning Ministry Relationships operating models to the ministry strategy.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Ministry Relationships, this role supports the achievement of acquisition and fundraising targets by:

  • Designing and implementing a consistent business development and acquisition methodology across all Compassion products.
  • Providing training, coaching and development to Ministry Relationships staff in the methodology, business systems and operating model.
  • Coordinating knowledge sharing between geographically dispersed area teams to build Ministry Relationships capability and efficiency.
  • Analysing Area and National performance data and trends from centralised organisational reporting and provide recommendations for enhancement.
  • Developing effective relationships with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Human Resources, and Reporting teams, operating as the key interface between Ministry Relationships and these stakeholders.
  • In collaboration with Area Managers and People & Culture, onboard and coach new staff.

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, a strong understanding of the Church in Australia and have demonstrated business development experience.
