Remote / Work from Home
Comm Unity Plus Services Ltd delivers a range of early intervention and prevention programs focused on informing and engaging our community through high-quality Adult Education (RTO), Family Support and Legal Programs, which complement community engagement and development programs, with special emphasis on disadvantaged people and vulnerable communities.
The purpose of this internship is to support the Comm Unity Plus, Child Contact Services (CCS) team in their development and delivery of a novel services improvement-focused Participatory Actions Research Project.
Child Contact Services (CCS) are an integral part of the Family Law suite of programs, supporting children of separated parents to have contact in a safe, neutral and facilitated setting. The sector has seen little change in program delivery approaches in the last 20 years, and meaningful research which maps the services, tracks client outcomes and service impacts, is limited.
This project will use a collaboratively designed, mixed-methods approach to unpack how the service is working within the context of the broader Family Law Sector to bring about client outcomes and how services might be improved or expanded to optimise these outcomes. The project will engage a range of internal and external service stakeholders in this process.
Your tasks will include:
Applicants must hold a valid Working with Children Check and Police check or the ability to obtain the same. Access to high-speed internet and ability to participate in online meetings is a must.
You will have the opportunity to gain industry experience whilst being a valued team member of this project, contributing to collaborative learning for improvement and optimal CCS client outcomes. The outcomes of this project will be used as an advocacy tool for service development and expansion within the local setting as well as at the state and federal levels. Travel expenses and material costs will be provided.
For further information, please call the People & Culture team on 03 7379 0106.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse people are encouraged to apply.
