Rights Information and Advocacy Centre (RIAC) is a not-for-profit organisation that builds the capacity and wellbeing of individuals, families, carers and communities through advocacy and support services. They have a proud history providing specialist services for communities across regional Victoria and southern New South Wales.

As they embark on this leadership change, the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will lead and drive the strategic direction and vision of the organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring high quality and innovative service delivery that meets the quality, operational, contractual and financial targets of the organisation.

As the CEO your commercial business acumen, advocacy work and operational excellence will enable you to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the organisation to achieve optimum outcomes as well as effective use of human resources and business assets.

The successful candidate will have an impressive track record at an Executive level with demonstrated excellence in steering and managing the operations and resources of a similar sized organisation, preferably with an advocacy or disability background within the not-for-profit sector.

You will also have demonstrated strength in financial, operational and culture driven leadership and previous experience overseeing finance (accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting), HR and IT. You will have extensive experience of working directly to a Board of Directors, with a high-level understanding of corporate governance and advocacy work and hold a relevant tertiary qualification.

In addition, you will be a values driven leader with a passion for social justice and supporting people and communities to reach their full potential, with the commitment to work collaboratively, whilst empowering, nurturing and mentoring your team to operate and deliver within best practice principles.
