Due to continued growth and expansion, we have an outstanding opportunity for a highly organised and innovative Coordinator to work in this exciting newly created position. This is a full time permanent role reporting to the Regional IPS Coordinator and will provide support to the IPS staff across our Western and Eastern sites with some rural travel from time to time.

IPS is an internationally recognised, evidence-based integrated and innovative employment initiative that improves employment outcomes for motivated consumers with a significant mental illness. This position provides a unique opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team that includes mental health and employment specialist staff. You will mentor and support a team of dedicated, motivated and high performing IPS Employment Specialists by guiding them individually in best practice and providing oversight to the IPS program. 

Your duties will be:

  • Working with IPS partner organisations to plan and implement IPS programs develop and deliver IPS specific training for staff
  • Provide direct supervision and mentoring to team members on a daily basis and model the values and attitudes consistent with CBS Inc. philosophy
  • Working with a small caseload of consumers to source employment that aligns with their personal preferences and deliver evidence-based employment services
  • Undertaking and following HR procedures including shortlisting, interviewing, referee checks, reviewing leave and timesheets, staff training, performance evaluations and management
  • Meeting required Key Performance Indicator (KPI) outcomes
  • Deliver services in line with IPS core practice principles and the ANZ supported employment fidelity scale

You will require:

  • Experience and confidence in managing staff and supporting them to reach their full potential
  • Tertiary qualifications in Employment Services and/or Mental Health are advantageous, however not essential
  • Ability to demonstrate and maintain high levels of professionalism, integrity and ethics
  • Self-motivated, innovative and positive with the ability to promote a constructive and cohesive working environment within the team
  • Ability to develop extensive personal and professional networks within the community,  across government bodies and with educational institutions
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships and conflict resolution skills
  • Understanding and empathy for people with a mental illness
  • Driver’s License
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Ability to obtain National Police clearance (less than 6 months old)
  • Ability to obtain DHS Disability Employment Screening, Working with Children Check and Aged clearance.
