The organisation runs three environmental repair social enterprises – Green Connect, Soft Landing and Resource Recovery Australia – together with a range of community services. Last year we provided jobs for 650 people across Australia, 79% of whom experienced barriers to employment.

We are seeking to employ a Communications and Marketing Advisor who supports our communications and marketing strategy through:

  • activities that ensures our brand is strong and our purpose is well-understood
  • promotes our products and services
  • telling human-centred stories that connect with our people, partners and stakeholders.

Essential

  • Highly skilled in creating engaging content for different channels and audiences with the ability to research and identify compelling stories to achieve marketing objectives
  • A track record of successful communication and marketing strategies
  • A strong understanding of the media landscape in Australia, and latest developments in communications and marketing
  • Able to identify communications and marketing opportunities in a range of settings
  • Able to lead projects and work to a plan, seeking support and advice when needed
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and work well with different stakeholders
  • A commitment to help create a fairer world, that values people and planet
  • An active commitment to staff wellbeing and safety, including cultural safety and healing
  • Ability to travel nationally as required, and to work as part of a national team
  • NSW Working with Children and national Criminal History checks

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualified in communications or marketing
  • Highly developed digital marketing skills (paid, organic and SEO)
  • An understanding of the key principles of human-centred design in developing marketing materials, and tailoring communications to the needs of the audience

You must be able to evidence your right to work in Australia and be willing to undertake a Working with Children Check and Criminal History Check.

You could be based anywhere between Tuncurry and Wollongong due to flexibility of working from both home and the office.
