Work three days per week and become an integral part of our mental health team by combining your admin and support worker skills.

The Program Support Worker will focus on the recovery and Discovery Centre's general administration tasks including linking referrals appropriately and data management.

Use your people skills as well to work closely with other team members and play a supportive role in the co-facilitation of group activities.

Communify's Recovery and Discovery Centre is designed to provide non-clinical, individual or group support services to people with a severe mental illness and associated psychosocial functional impairment who are not more appropriately supported through the NDIS. These supports are focused around capacity building and connectedness. The Recovery and Discovery Centre is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team who provide psychosocial supports, clinical care coordination and group psychological therapies and has partnered with a number of organisations to provide integrated. With a framework based on the Recovery Model, the Recovery and Discovery Centre provides support that is strengths-based, client-centred and trauma-informed.

Key Selection Criteria

Required

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience of administrative practices, procedures and processes
• Relevant qualifications and/or experience in the Community Services Sector
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• demonstrated ability to be confident, articulate and empathetic when working with participants who experience challenges with their mental health

Desirable

• Experience facilitating or supporting the facilitation of group interactions
• Experience and knowledge of strength based, recovery oriented support
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organise, set priorities, and meet deadlines, accompanied by an ability to handle a number of tasks concurrently with minimal supervision

Other

• A current Open Qld drivers' license and a road worthy vehicle insured to a minimum level covering third party property damage (comprehensive cover is recommended)
• Blue Card, Yellow Card (or the ability to obtain one)
• Appointment is contingent on a satisfactory National Police Record check
