  • 12 month contract for 15 hours per week in mental health hub based in Bardon, Brisbane

About the role

The Brief Intervention Worker is responsible for ensuring the provision of quality, flexible, individualised, participant directed psychosocial support services for people living with severe mental illness whose daily life is being significantly impacted.

Duties include

Undertaking intake and assessments and providing information, advice, referrals, advocacy and short term support planning for participants.

Skills you must have

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant Human Services field
  • Relevant experience working with people in psychosocial support settings
  • Demonstrated high level communication skills including ability to write professional case notes, brief intervention plans, reports and other relevant documentation
  • A current Open QLD driver’s license and a road worthy vehicle insured to a minimum level covering third party property damage (comprehensive cover is recommended)
  • Blue Card and Yellow Card (or ability to obtain one

Other

  • Experience and knowledge around strength based, recovery oriented support
