The Role:

Communicare Academy is a registered CaRE School (Curriculum and Re-engagement with Education) for students in Years 7 to 12. As a teacher you will be responsible for delivering a flexible and innovative learning program to facilitate transitional education of young people who have many issues impacting on their capacity to engage in mainstream programs and come from disadvantaged or disengaged backgrounds. This is a unique opportunity and environment for highly motivated and passionate teacher who is seeking to make a real impact on the lives of disengaged youth and significantly improve student learning and wellbeing.

Selection Criteria:

The successful applicant will possess:

• Current registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
• A teaching qualification from an accredited initial teacher education programme or from a programme recognised by the TRBWA as equivalent
• Meet the professional standards for teachers at the Graduate level
• Demonstrated administration skills including report writing, program development and maintaining student files.
• Ability to work in a team and excellent communication skills
• Current 'Working with Children Card'
• Current Senior First Aid certificate
• Police Clearance
• Current driver's licence
