Communicare Academy is a curriculum and re-engagement with education (CaRE) School within Communicare. Communicare Academy opened in 2014 with classes from Year 9 - 12, extending to years 7 and 8 in 2015.

The Role:

As an Education Assistant you will work in consultation with the Principal and Teachers to design and implement activities which support the students at Communicare Academy to engage with learning and social activities.

Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will possess:

• Minimum of Certificate III in Education Support or extensive relevant experience
• Ability to develop, implement and report on individual learning programs
• Working knowledge of disabilities, including, but not limited to, autism, dyslexia, ADHD, ODD
• Ability to work within a high functioning, highly skilled team
• Experience in engaging with, motivating and inspiring at risk, disengaged young people
• High level computer skills
• Current Working with Children card
• Satisfactory Police clearance (not older than 6 months from the issue date)
• Current Senior First Aid
• Unrestricted drivers' licence
