Counsellors / Mental Health Clinicians

Collective Trauma Foundation

We are a new innovative organisation focusing on the social and emotional wellbeing of people who have experienced trauma. We focus on culturally diverse populations, especially working within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

We provide individual counselling services, group programs, training programs for professionals, and research services. We work across South Australia and interstate.

We are looking for culturally diverse clinicians or people who have a passion for and extensive experience working with culturally diverse peoples to join us. We are looking for people who want the freedom of working their own hours, of designing programs that fit with their passions, and people who are looking for a community of clinicians with shared values and goals. You may be particularly interested in working in one of the services we provide or across multiple services. Whatever the case may be, we are looking for people who are community-minded and want to provide high quality, trauma-focused and culture-focused services to the broader community.

We are seeking clinicians who want to go into business for themselves but to connect with a community network that collaborate together to improve community outcomes and create community projects.

What we offer:

A community of clinicians to provide support and collaboration. Support and guidance around service development. Links to clinical and cultural supervision. Links to referral sources. If you are interested in joining us, please click Apply Now and follow the prompts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma of Narrative Therapies or Diploma of Counselling
  • Experience working in the mental health sector or community sector
  • Passion for culturally diverse peoples and communities
  • Experience in and understanding of trauma, domestic violence, and mental health

Clearances:

  • Child-safe environments or Reporting Abuse and Neglect certification
  • A recent (last 3 years) National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • A current, valid Working with Children/Vulnerable People Check (or willingness to obtain one)
