About you and the role

RMITs School of Vocational Design and Social Context (SVDSC) are seeking experienced VE Teachers for casual teaching in the following disciplines at both Certificate and Diploma levels:

  • Youth Work
  • Working with the Aboriginal community
  • Financial Counselling
  • Community Services
  • First Aid and CPR

The School are currently seeking expressions of interest from people for work in Semester 1 and 2 2020. The School is recognised as a leading provider of programs in Community Services from Certificate III to Advanced Diploma level. Sessional teaching work is available working within a friendly team of professionals at our city campus. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are encouraged to apply.

Occasionally there is other work available such as designing and mapping assessment, conducting RPL, and small projects which require a high level of VET expertise.

Qualifications:

  • You will have a vocational qualification or an undergraduate qualification in the Community Services field and extensive and current industry experience.
  • Demonstrated experience of teaching in Vocational Education is desirable
  • A qualification in the TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its equivalent; or higher level qualification in adult education
  • A current Employee Working with Childrens Check
