Co.As.It. provides a range of culturally and linguistically appropriate services to enhance the quality of life of the community and to promote the Italian language and culture in NSW.

Co. As. It. is seeking part time Community Aged Care Workers to assist older Italians in their homes to maintain their independence. Applicants will be required to undertake a functional preemployment assessment and police record check.

Assistance with the attainment of Certificate III in Home and Community Care will be offered to successful applicants.

Duties:

• Provision of support and care to elderly,
• Provision of assistance with meal preparation,
• Respite care, social outings,
• Transport,
• Shopping,
• Light housework, 
• Personal care.

Selection Criteria:

• Certificate III in Aged Care,
• Fluency in Italian or other languages,
• Experience in aged care or disability,
• Commitment to ongoing training,
• Current NSW drivers licence and reliable car.

This position is only open to bilingual Italian speakers.
