Who We Are...

The Apprenticeship Community is a collaboration of two leading not for profit organisations, BUSY At Work and CoAct, that's designed specifically for Western Australian employers and apprentices. We are proud and excited to announce that we have been successful in securing a new Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) contract for Outback WA.

We know that the apprenticeship and traineeship value proposition in the workplace is a good one.  It's great for employers needing skilled and committed people in their workplace and for apprentices and trainees where they gain a recognised qualification and real-time experience as they build their career.

And that's where you come in...

Connecting with Apprentices and Trainees who are experiencing difficulty in their new roles and developing relationships which will allow you to gain an understanding of the issues and come up with a collaborative action plan to resolve these issues.

On a day to basis, you will meet with Apprentices and Trainees, their employers and other important stakeholders in their lives with the goal of assisting them to overcome their concerns and barriers to ensure they're happy and progressing in their job.

What you will bring to the role...

  • A passion for assisting youth development and employment
  • Demonstrated experience in a coaching or mentoring capacity
  • Trade qualified background in any industry
  • Exceptional people skills - you are a champion at fostering and building solid relationships
  • You are comfortable working autonomously and taking complete ownership of your role
  • The ability to build trust with young people and use this to help motivate positive outcomes in their lives
  • The ability to work to and exceed KPIs in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
  • An understanding of how diversity and inclusion initiatives can be applied in the workplace
  • Strong emotional intelligence and resilience
  • An open Driver's Licence
  • It's highly desirable to have previous experience in apprenticeships or within a training, VET, employment or recruitment setting
  • Please note, the successful applicant will be required to complete criminal history verifications and a working with children check
