Who We Are...

The Apprenticeship Community is a collaboration of two leading not for profit organisations, BUSY At Work and CoAct, that's designed specifically for Western Australian employers and apprentices. We are proud and excited to announce that we have been successful in securing a new Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) contract for Outback WA.

We know that the apprenticeship and traineeship value proposition in the workplace is a good one.  It's great for employers needing skilled and committed people in their workplace and for apprentices and trainees where they gain a recognised qualification and real-time experience as they build their career.

And that's where you come in...

The Apprenticeship Field Officer is responsible for developing relationships across your region to identify apprenticeship opportunities and concurrently, attract suitable candidates to fill these roles. You will need to be able to sell the benefits of Apprenticeships and Traineeships to vastly different stakeholders, and ensure we secure ongoing sign-up opportunities.

This varied role will include business development, presenting to forums of young people, managing the sign-up process, and your own admin and reporting. It's a busy role but you will have the ability to manage your own workday with the aim of kicking your KPI's out of the ballpark!

Through identifying prospective employers, understanding their needs and articulating a compelling value proposition for them, you'll build a pipeline of employers that recognise the program benefits and are keen to engage in it.

What you will bring to the role…

  • A passion for assisting youth development and employment
  • You will be a champion at fostering and building solid relationships
  • You have a heart of gold with a genuine desire to make a difference in someone's life
  • Previous experience in a sales-based role
  • A proven ability to work to and exceed KPIs in a dynamic, ever-changing environment
  • An understanding of how diversity and inclusion initiatives can be applied in the workplace
  • Strong emotional intelligence and resilience
  • You feel the need to exceed expectations and take complete ownership of your role
  • An open Driver's Licence

*It's highly desirable to have previous experience in apprenticeships or within a training, VET, employment or recruitment setting
