The Centre for Non-Violence (CNV) is a leading and innovative specialist Family Violence organisation based in the Loddon area of Victoria, with a vision of gender and social equality for all. Located within our Partnerships and Prevention division in Bendigo, this part time opportunity (0.8 FTE -30.4 hours/week) plays a significant role in the development and implementation of sector wide reforms of the homelessness service system through the facilitation and support to the Loddon Mallee Homelessness Network (LMHN). The LMHN and subsequently this Coordinator role will be guided by the annual strategic plan, the key outcomes areas of which are planning and communication, advocacy, capacity building and service development.

The primary responsibilities of the LMHN Coordinator role are to:

  • Facilitate consultation with primary regional homelessness service providers and service users.
  • Support and assist organisations in change management processes associated with sector reform.
  • Assist with the identification of rural and regional needs, with a view to enhance the regional and state-wide homelessness service system.
  • Share information and promote a better understanding of homelessness with a range of community organisations.
  • Assist in the development of new services and programs and contribute to the development of training priorities within regional homelessness service networks.
  • Encourage and maintain linkages with other relevant service providers and with peak bodies.

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, community services and/or a related human services field.
  • At least five years’ experience working in the homelessness or similar field.
