Located within our Program and Services team, this part-time Community Education Coordinator opportunity (0.8 FTE) is initially for a fixed period of 12 months with the possibility of extension dependant upon funding.

The role of the Community Education Coordinator is to develop, coordinate and deliver innovative and engaging training education programs. The role will also oversee the development of a training team, online resources and yearly training calendar.

To be considered for these positions you will have:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in education, training, social work, psychology, community services and/or a related human services field. A Social Work degree is highly desirable.
  • MARAM certification.
  • At least two years’ experience in the family violence or related industry.
  • Experience in the provision and development of training for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of family violence including impacts on children and young people and young homeless women’s issues in accordance with service philosophies.
  • An understanding of the role of gender equity and primary prevention in preventing violence against women and children.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • The ability to work with limited supervision and exercise judgement and initiative in a fast paced and changing environment where practices and processes may not be clearly defined.
