About the role

The Program Manager will ensure delivery of the Centre’s projects and programs, ensuring they bring significant mutual benefit to the industry, project partners and Centre members. Beyond that, the Program Manager will contribute to the Centre’s efficient and effective operation and growth through data management, strategic input, communications and operations.

This role is an outstanding opportunity to help tackle the far-reaching challenges faced by the electricity sector as it transforms. You will engage across the breadth of energy industry, including research, regulation, policy, market operation institutions and businesses.

C4NET is small and operates highly efficiently. It has a strong pipeline of partner and government grant funds. This rare set-up presents the right candidate with the opportunity to lead a high-impact program of works, work directly with the CEO as part of a small, skilled team and to actively help grow the company.

  • A skilled communicator, able to engage with influence across senior levels of industry, government and the research community
  • Experienced in effectively building and sustaining internal and external relationships
  • Experienced in the administration of projects with industry, government and research institutions
  • Self-motivated and continually seeking to raise the bar, find creative solutions to problems; and
  • Of highest integrity

What you will do

The Program Manager will manage the Centre’s participation in a range of diverse programs to deliver the Centre objectives. The Program Manager will:

  • Lead project management across the Centre’s project and program portfolio to ensure effective delivery, including financial management
  • Administer projects to ensure tracking and performance against scope, budget, timeframes and reporting requirements.
  • Refine and oversee supporting systems, processes and resources to manage a portfolio of projects from end-to-end
  • Communicate effectively with a broad range of project stakeholders and senior leaders within partner organisations
  • Foster a collaborative environment and working relationship between project participants
  • Make decisions and recommendations to the relevant delegate as to the treatment of project issues, hurdles and opportunities
  • Maintain a current understanding of key hurdles facing the energy sector and how it relates to delivery of C4NET’s key objectives
  • Promote and advocate the Centre, its members and its projects
  • Contribute to ensure effective operation of the Centre and help shape its future pathway
