About the Role

The Project Officer – Youth Leadership will be responsible for the planning, development, delivery and evaluation of some of CMY’s core youth leadership projects with young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. The role will primarily be responsible for delivering leadership training to young people, a metropolitan based youth advisory group and a public speakers bureau, Shout Out. A key aspect of the role will include the recruitment, induction, training and support of young people as volunteers to help support and lead project activities.

  • Hours: 30.4 hours per week (0.8 FTE), Part Time
  • Fixed Term: Until December 2022
  • Base Salary (SCHADS Level 4): $72,361 per annum, pro rata plus Super and access to Salary Packaging
  • Location: CMY Carlton Office. However due to COVID-19 restrictions, this role will require you to work from home and the CMY Carlton office. It is expected that the successful candidate will be able to accommodate this. The successful candidate will participate in a comprehensive orientation and will be provisionally assigned any relevant equipment.
  • Interviews: to be held in the week beginning of Monday 5th July, 2021
