About the Role

CMY seeks a Project Officer who will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of CMY’s component of the Refugee Education Support Program (RESP) in the South-Eastern region of metropolitan Melbourne and in collaboration with other members of the MY Education team.

  • Hours: 38 hours per week (1.0 FTE) Full Time
  • Fixed Term: until 29 December 2023 (based on program requirements the FTE and location of employment will vary in years 2022 and 2023)
  • Base Salary (SCHADS Level 5) : $80,442 per annum (plus Super and access to Salary Packaging)
  • Location: South East (Casey or Dandenong) (Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this role will require you to initially work from home)
  • Interviews: to be held in the week beginning Monday, 24 August 2020

You will have

  • Prior experience in stakeholder engagement and project management, including delivery of projects involving multiple partner organisations;
  • Experience in the education sector, ideally including schools;
  • An understanding of the education challenges for students and families with refugee and migrant backgrounds. An understanding of Out of School Hours Learning Support Programs and their role in supporting the educational needs of children and young people with migrant and refugee backgrounds is desirable;
  • Well-developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with demonstrated ability to present and write reports and project plans; and
  • An ability to work both independently and within a team environment and collaborate effectively with peers across multiple regions.
