We are currently looking for a Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will work across multiple areas including month-end processes and reconciliations and accounts receivable. In addition, this role will provide strategic support to the Senior Management Accountant around statutory and management reporting, including budgeting and forecasting. You will be involved in the development and reporting of KPIs across the Research units, Core Facilities, Fundraising and other areas of the business.

Responsibilities of the role include;

  • General ledger “ownership” including month-end and year-end processes, as well as account reconciliations and reporting
  • Statutory reporting including but not limited to ACNC, ABS, AAMRI and other government bodies
  • Assist auditors with year-end audit and preparation of annual audited accounts
  • Assist with annual budgeting and regular forecasting
  • Assist with financial dashboard reporting providing effective variance analysis
  • Assist in providing strategic support and business planning
  • Deliver efficient and effective commercial support including KPI development and reporting

The successful candidate will have the following requirements:

  • CPA/CA/CIMA Degree qualified and/or studying towards
  • Technology One experience, preferable
  • Well developed business partnering skills with strong analytical ability
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail and career driven
  • Previous experience in a similar role, highly regarded
