I am a woman in my 40’s who lives in my own home (at Glengowrie) with the supports I need to be as independent as possible. I am a thoughtful, sensitive person with a good sense of humour. I enjoy art, animals, gardening, travel and the company of friends and family.
I require assistance to maintain my home/unit, to pursue my interests and to engage within my community. There is some personal care involved in this role.
The successful applicant will be reliable and efficient with a bright personality and positive outlook on life. You will need to be an animal lover as I have pets in my home who are very important to me.
I am looking for someone who has the flexibility to work Monday-Friday as well as weekends, mostly daytime. Hours of work will be approximately 15 hours per week of regular shifts, and the opportunity to fill-in for additional work. .
Relevant life and work experience in disability support will be an advantage, while a positive attitude and enthusiasm are essential. A driver's licence and own transport is required along with relevant DHS Screening and First Aid Certificate.
