Community Living Project (CLP) is seeking a mature and positive person to support a woman in her 30’s who lives with her parents in their home in the western suburbs. You will be working alongside the family to build rapport and grow into a role that establishes a meaningful and trusted relationship with the person and the family. Your day to day tasks will be guided by the vision, goals, and dreams for the woman’s life.
The role of support worker requires flexibility and availability across a 24-hour, 7-day roster including overnights, active daytime support, participation in monthly team meetings and the potential opportunity to join the family on holidays.
Working collaboratively with other workers and being trained, guided, and directed by the person’s parents you will get to know and embrace the woman’s gifts, interests and skills.
You will provide individual assistance and become involved with monitoring day to day care, seizure management, assisting with PODD communication, personal care and showing patience with daily tasks to support a healthy and holistic lifestyle.
