Want to make a positive difference in people’s lives and get a sense of meaning from your work?
Community Living Project (CLP) is an accredited NDIS support provider with a vision of a community in which people who have a disability are welcomed and belong because they are valued and seen as making a positive contribution to their community.
CLP works in a model of partnership where each person and their family are encouraged to take active control and responsibility over the decisions that affect their future. Starting from a shared vision of the future, we aim to support people to identify longer term goals and strategies that focus on the person’s wellbeing, relationships and community inclusion.
Self-directed support assists each person to identify what is important for them in their paid support, helping them to individually recruit workers who match with and embrace their vision. Self-directed support builds the skill and capacity of the person and their family/friends to manage their day to day support, at the same time building the skills and capacity of workers to take direction from the person and their family.
We are excited to recruit future leaders with the desire to create better, different and sustainable supports for individuals with disability. If you have skills in the area of human resource, service delivery and budgetary management, we encourage you to continue reading and start a conversation with us.
The Support Manager is a key role in CLP’s Self-directed support. You will be working in partnership with support workers, people with a disability, their families/friends and the CLP Inclusion Coach. As a central point of contact for workers, the role is both challenging and rewarding, requiring high level HR management, organisational skills, clear communication, team building skills and a keen ability to identify worker training needs.
You will be given ongoing support and mentoring in working through the many situations that arise on a regular basis for workers. A great deal of thought is given to the induction process and ongoing training, to enable the right support to build competence and confidence over time.
