Personal Assistant

Community Living Project Inc.
  • Personal Assistant (PA) wanted
  • West Hindmarsh
  • Casual, 2 x 3 hours a week

I am looking for a person who likes to cook, is great at organising and managing a small home and likes to get out and about, to assist me with a range of domestic tasks and engaging with my local community. Ideally this will happen twice a week for 3 hours between Monday to Friday, with possibly the occasional weekend day, however this is negotiable.

The PA will attend with me at dietitian appointments and help with implementing food and meal plans, shopping and cooking that incorporates my dietitian’s advice. I am also interested in the idea of bulk preparation and cooking, experience in this would be preferable.

Most importantly, I am wanting to build more friendships and relationships and hope to do this by developing and expanding my hobbies and interests. I am wanting to achieve this in an ordinary manner for a 29-year old male, therefore, being able to blend in as a PA is very important.

The qualities I am looking for in a PA is someone who is confident, respectful, patient and flexible with trying new things and meeting new people, can facilitate my relationships with others and is able to withdraw from the setting over time, and can support and encourage me in a calm manner. The sort of things I am interested in exploring are basketball, walking, art and attendance at sports events, however I am open to exploring other interests.

A drivers’ licence is not essential as I intend to build my independence in getting to and from places. A local to West Hindmarsh again would be considered favourably.
