Community Living Project is looking for a person with exceptional leadership skills – a leader who will work in a way that shares authority and responsibility with a person with a disability and their family and believes that everyone is able to build their capacity and independence. Sharing CLP values of a strong belief in an inclusive community life is critical.
The Inclusion Coach helps people to self-direct their paid supports – identifying what is important for them, the vision they have for their future, assisting them to individually recruit workers who fit with their vision, and equipping them to manage workers in their day-to-day activities.
Using mentoring skills, the Inclusion Coach assists the person/family to build the capacity of their networks and workers to create and sustain a self-organizing team. There must be a focus on a culture of respect, with the person at the centre of every decision and action.
The Inclusion Coach actively works in partnership with family and friends to help to build the person’s vision for an inclusive life, skills and to safeguard their future.
The position will be offered as Part time initially, moving to Full time.
The Inclusion Coach would work flexibly from a home-based office, and on location with people based centrally and in the northern suburbs of Adelaide. Must have a vehicle to use for work purposes, have or be prepared to get a DHS clearance.
