An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced sales executive to join our rapidly expanding international business. Our sales team is based in Adelaide, Australia but we can support remote working from another location for the right candidate.

XDI-the Cross Dependency Initiative – is the client facing brand of the Climatica group of companies. XDI provides physical climate risk data and analysis to to some of the world’s most influential investment firms and financial institutions; Our quantitative analysis helps organisations make informed decisions regarding climate impacts on their operations and services.

The Climatica group is an innovative and agile group of companies specialising in climate physical risk analysis and communication. XDI is a global leader in the provision of physical climate risk data to commercial clients; Climate Valuation empowers homeowners and homebuyers with accessibly priced climate risk information; and Climate Risk Engines undertakes the probabilistic modelling and analytics that underpins this work.

About the Role

Reporting to the XDI Head of Sales, the successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that builds strong relationships with our clients in UK, Australia and North America to communicate our products and services, and develop solutions to meet client needs.

We are looking for an individual with significant sales experience and a demonstrated ability to close large and complex deals worth more than $50,000 each, with an annual sales quota in excess of $2,000,000.

XDI’s technology and products are some of the most advanced risk analysis tools in the world. The ability to communicate complicated concepts and express them concisely to clients will be a skill that is highly valued.

Sales processes are integrated into our CRM (HubSpot) and following them is key to business continuation. Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM will be looked upon favourably.

Sales Executive: Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain high level relationships with key clients and partners in Australia, UK and North America.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of the rapidly evolving global need for climate risk analysis in the business and finance sector
  • Communicate powerfully the XDI value proposition, demonstrating business benefits and ROI as well as differentiating XDI from competitors.
  • Engage with the related client support teams (business development, pre-sales, marketing, etc.) to continuously generate a sales pipeline that supports the achievement of quarterly and annual goals.
  • Expand XDIs international reseller network to increase market coverage.
  • Work collaboratively with the XDI sales teams to leverage joint solutions and sales.
  • Represent XDI in a professional and an ethical manner.
  • Some travel may be required.

Skills and Experience: (Education, Technical Skills / Knowledge)

  • Five years experience in a sales role
  • Tertiary qualifications or significant work experience in technical, engineering, business and commerce, or science fields
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to close large and complex deals more than $50,000 per deal and managing an annual sales quota of more than $2,000,000,
  • An understanding of selling principles in the corporate environment,
  • Ability to understand at a high level the technical value proposition and translate it into a business value position,
  • Ability to work autonomously,

A competitive remuneration package will be negotiated comprising base salary and commission structures for the right individual.
