Acting to combat climate change is one of the world’s most pressing challenges, Climate Friendly was founded in 2003 as a profit-for-purpose business. Our growing team is passionate about active land management, and we are focused on finding economically viable solutions to maximise our impact on climate change. We have a proven track record, having reached over 20Mt in carbon abatement by the end of 2020. We are scaling up to reduce emissions by 100Mt by 2025, helping to build a sustainable land sector as a part of a net zero carbon economy by 2050.

As one of Australia’s largest and most experienced carbon farming project service providers, Climate Friendly helps landowners and land managers to unlock economic, social and environmental value through improved management of Australia’s land. This includes more than 130 carbon projects partnering with farmers, plantation managers, agribusiness, and Traditional Custodian covering more than 10 million hectares of land.

About the role:

The role will focus on our existing customer base to increase client satisfaction and foster stronger partnerships. This includes both strengthening and extending our long-term relationships with partners and increasing their connection with their carbon farming project and Climate Friendly.

Key responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to:

• Review and implement customer service standards across all partners and increase client satisfaction
• Cultivate, maintain and develop relationships and lead negotiations on additional services among business partners
• Direct management of clients with a project portfolio
• Working with our Communications team, review our existing approach to client services and make improvements to streamline the customers journey and ensure clients are well informed and satisfied with our services
• Lead extension and outreach work with clients on both planned activities and adhoc topics that come up over the year
• Developing, conducting and analysing client satisfaction surveys and modifying staff services to adapt to feedback
• Identify constraints faced by Climate Friendly staff in providing high quality service and assist them to overcome these constraints
• Provide training and coaching to Climate Friendly Project managers

Selection Criteria: Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Include but are not limited to: 

• Tertiary Degree of equivalent in Business Management, Sales Marketing, Project Management or related field
• Demonstrated experience managing corporate partnership programs in commercial environments
• Passionate about delivering high quality services to clients
• Highly developed communication skills to engage a wide variety of audiences
• Outcome focussed, highly professional and articulate
• Experienced in working environment that require high levels of proactive, responsive and strategic thinking
• Understanding of the agricultural industry and the needs of rural based clients
• Experience in the carbon industry advantageous but not essential
