As the peak body for the community legal sector in WA, Community Legal WA is charged with building capacity and expertise, and promoting effectiveness and efficiency, across our 26 member centres. Our team lead a range of human rights and social justice projects including law reform campaigns, advocacy, projects, and community and legal professional education.

About the Role

The Administrator is a part time position that coordinates and delivers a wide range of administrative functions, providing the backbone support for the CLWA team.

The role:

  • ensures the effective coordination and delivery of all administration functions for CLWA to ensure the organisation runs smoothly and the team is supported.
  • works as part of a small and collaborative team
  • provides information and referral services to community members seeking legal advice.
  • liaises extensively with members and stakeholders to provide support to member events and communications.

This is an important role at CLWA which requires a high level of competence in administration with the ability to work independently and manage a varied workload. We are seeking a person with excellent interpersonal skills, who enjoys supporting members of the public, team members and organisational stakeholders.

This position is based in our East Perth office.

Benefits include flexible hours and generous salary packaging. This position part-time is 0.65 FTE, negotiable.

Salary: SACS Award level 5.1

Employment type: Fixed Term to 30 June 2025

To fill this varied role, we are looking for candidates with:

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and telephone etiquette.
  • At least five years’ experience and a strong track record in coordinating and delivering a wide range of office administration functions.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to social justice and human rights.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data base and the ability to quickly get across other platforms.
  • Experience in the community legal sector, community organisations or social services is desirable.
