The City is seeking a Tree Contract Coordinator to join our Tree Management Team.

This position offers the opportunity to significantly expand your arboricultural and professional skills. If you are looking to progress your career in arboriculture or urban forestry, this position provides you with exposure to a unique range of projects, contracts, consultancies and strategy development within an international city.

The City's Tree Management Team is a leader in urban forest management. We are guided by our Sustainable Sydney and urban forest strategies to deliver ambitious goals to increase canopy cover and improve the urban forest.

Working and being supported as part of the Tree Management Team, the Tree Contract Coordinator will manage the City's urban forest (street, park and property trees) to best practise standards. Your responsibilities will also include managing service and consultancy contracts, driving quality client outcomes, and providing expert technical arboricultural advice to a range of stakeholders.

You will have, or be currently studying for, an AQF Level 5 Diploma in Arboriculture, with experience in managing urban trees, including in tree health and hazard assessment, operational or supervisory experience in the delivery of arboricultural services and demonstrated experience or comprehensive understanding of contract management.

Excellent communication skills are also required, as is a proven track record in meeting deadlines, balancing and responding flexibly to competing priorities and to work effectively as part of a team.
