The City is seeking a Project Manager - Tree Planting to join our Tree Management Team.

The City's Tree Management Team is a leader in urban forest management. We are guided by our Sustainable Sydney and urban forest strategies to deliver ambitious goals to increase canopy cover and improve the urban forest.

Working as part of the Tree Management Team, the Project Manager - Tree Planting will manage the City's street, park and property tree planting programs to best practise industry, asset and contract management standards. Your responsibilities will also include managing service contracts, collecting and analysing data, providing expert technical arboricultural advice to a range of stakeholders and contributing to the City's tree management and urban forest policies.

You will have or be currently studying for an AQF Level 5 Diploma in Arboriculture, or have equivalent demonstrated industry experience with a minimum AQF Level 4 horticulture or landscape design qualification. You will also have demonstrated comprehensive understanding and experience in young tree assessment, tree planting operations and programs, conflicts with infrastructure, and a comprehensive understanding of contract management.

Excellent communication skills are also required, as is a proven track record in meeting strict deadlines, balancing and responding flexibly to competing priorities and to work effectively as part of a team.
