We are seeking a dynamic, highly skilled practitioner to lead and contribute to a wide range of Specialist Homelessness Services (SHS) capacity building and policy response activities.

About the role

The Senior Practitioner will undertake environmental scanning and dissemination of research and best practice; provide subject matter expertise in resource and training development; and participate in fostering strong communities of practice.

A focus of the work is supporting service implementation and practice through capacity building across SHS and allied services for people experiencing homelessness with high and complex needs, including in response to Covid-19.

The Senior Practitioner will lead CHP ‘s Housing First permanent supportive housing and assertive outreach sector development activities in Victoria including coordinating Australia’s engagement with the Housing First Europe Homeless Hub and the delivery of Housing First training in Victoria.

The successful applicant will have advanced practice leadership skills, including the delivery of case management and assertive outreach services to people with complex needs. The skilled practitioner will have demonstrated ability to develop, organise and deliver capacity building activities; and strong report writing and social research skills.

This position will be a 0.8FTE or 1.0FTE to June 2023 with the possibility of extension of funding. Salary packaging is available.
