The role

Challenge Community Services is currently looking for a dedicated and passionate full-time Supervisor to lead our Disability Team across Accommodation and Day Programs.

This role is to provide multiple services and opportunities to people with Disability by supporting them to achieve their individual goals and plans through the ongoing efforts of a highly performing team.

The Supervisor, Disability Services Muswellbrook leads each team in an inclusive and positive manner to ensure all strategic business goals are achieved. The role also focuses on creating and maintaining a highly performing team culture, is sensitive to, and promotes, cultural diversity and acceptance; while ensuring the services adheres to the principles and objectives of the Disability Service Standards (DSS) and another appropriate legislative requirements.

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Qualifications (Certificate IV in Disability Work, Mental Health or equivalent) or experience in the sector.
  • Well developed and effective communication, numerical and interpersonal skills with the capability to engage and develop strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates the ability to develop, lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Ability to prioritise and problem solve complex situations.
  • Competent with using CIMS, Microsoft Office suite particularly MS Word and MS Outlook.

Desirable Criteria

  • Certificate IV or above in Community Services or other relevant qualification.
  • Demonstrated understanding in the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) processes.

Job Benefits

  • Entry rate of $30.77 per hour. Higher pay points may be applicable based on qualifications and or experience. Up to 15,900 tax free pay per fringe benefit year.
