The Centre for Volunteering is looking for a positive and experienced Director: Office and People to join our team. This is an interesting and diverse role where your office management and Microsoft Office skills will be an asset.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, your responsibilities will include:

    • Managing and supervising all of the administrative activities that facilitate the smooth running of The Centre for Volunteering
    • Managing compliance and performance reporting to government funding bodies
    • Managing the Human Resources function, which includes recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and employee counselling
    • Developing, implementing and advising on policies and procedures relating to staff and office functionality and efficiency.
    • Overseeing and maintaining the Risk register, Compliance register and WHS register
    • Providing finance administration support to the CFO including invoicing and accounts receivable/payable preparation
    • Acting as Executive Assistant to the CEO

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Demonstrated experience in office management and administration or similar discipline
    • Ability to provide HR support including dealing with grievances
    • Ability to act as Executive Assistant to the CEO
    • Ability to produce business correspondence and Board support at an administrative level with a high degree of accuracy, including Board meeting papers and minutes
    • Advanced in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft suite and the use of databases are essential in this diverse role)
    • Intermediate in MYOB (or similar accounting software)
    • Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and ensuring compliance deadlines are met, including reporting requirements to regulatory and funding bodies (KPI reporting experience advantageous)

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelors degree in Business Administration or similar discipline and experience
