The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare (the Centre) is seeking an experienced and confident Campaign and Advocacy Project Lead for 18 months to work in a part-time (0.6FTE) role on an exciting new project.

These are our Kids has a focus on children exposed to family violence and the urgent need for more timely, flexible, evidence-informed and targeted responses to enable children to be safe and to thrive. The aim of the project is to build awareness of the impacts of family violence on children and to attract investment in the most effective responses to prevent and reduce harm to children.

The project is based on a strong evidence base of what happens to children, and emerging evidence of what works for children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate experience in developing and delivering successful campaign and advocacy work for social change purposes, excellent stakeholder engagement skills including the ability to work with philanthropic partners, an ability to translate the evidence base for this work into compelling narratives and messages that can influence policy change and investment decision making, and an ability to attract financial support that can help sustain the program of work.
