Once a landfill site and wasteland, today CERES’ Brunswick East site is a thriving, vibrant community. With over 450,000 visitors a year, CERES is the most visited environmental centre in Australia.

About School of Nature and Climate

The CERES School of Nature and Climate is a response to the climate and ecological crisis. It consists of three delivery areas: Student Programs, Teacher Programs and Adult Learning. Our education offerings are designed to develop skills, leadership and resilience. We strive to equip people to think differently, act for the planet and be resilient and responsive citizens.

This position is an integral part of the Student Programs Team and ​plays an essential role in the CERES School of Nature and Climate, providing interactive learning experiences for school-aged children in our park, at schools and if required also online.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an innovative educator with experience in developing and delivering climate and energy education programs to school students.

Someone who thrives on collaborating with others to develop and deliver education programs and works part of the team to help school excursions and incursions run smoothly.

Have you delivered hands-on educational experiences that ​connect young people to the natural world with an emphasis on achievable actions to environmental problems? Do you have a good understanding of climate change, its causes, impacts and solutions? Are you passionate about inspiring positive change in young people? Are you approachable with excellent communication skills?
