CERES Community Environment Park is an award‐winning, not-for‐profit, environment park and urban farm located by the Merri Creek in East Brunswick, Melbourne. Once a landfill site and wasteland, today CERES is a thriving, vibrant community. With over 450,000 visitors a year, CERES is the most visited environmental centre in Australia.

About CERES Nursery

CERES Nursery opened in 1996, specialising in food plants, bushfoods, indigenous species, Australian natives and specialist plants. The nursery is very popular within the community and is setting a standard in providing an alternative to the mainstream nursery industry. The nursery is accredited with Sustainable Gardening Australia.

CERES Nursery has an emphasis on excellent customer service and horticultural integrity. CERES Nursery is committed to sustainable horticulture guided by the ethics and principles of Permaculture and organic gardening practices. During 2020 CERES Nursery transitioned to a click and collect model which has been popular with our community.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a customer service professional with horticulture and/or permaculture qualifications and a broad range of plant knowledge. If you are a natural collaborator with retail nursery experience and a demonstrated commitment to sustainable and organic horticultural practices, we want to hear from you.
