About Joe’s Market Garden

Joe’s Market Garden is one of Melbourne’s last surviving inner city market gardens. We aim to demonstrate how an urban city farm can anchor a community and contribute to the local economy; providing an ethical market place, employment and opportunities for farmers, producers, teachers and food workers in an environment where we can celebrate the harvest.

Position Purpose

To make great coffee for the community down at Joe’s Market Garden and sell the freshest produce in town! You will be working with inspiring folks both volunteers and workers in the great outdoors. Those who are excited to be part of a growing, flexibly and adaptive team will be perfect for this position.This position sits within the CERES Farm and Food Team and reports directly to the Market Garden Manager who reports to the Director of Business Innovation and is ultimately accountable to the CERES Board.

We’re looking for someone with:

  1. Barista experience
  2. Interest in local food systems
  3. Experience in working in the great outdoors!
  4. Experience working in teams
