The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people across the southern half of the Northern Territory—an area of almost 780,000 square kilometres.

The CLC provides its constituents with advice, advocacy and practical assistance to support their aspirations, manage their land and realise and protect their rights.

We are currently seeking a suitable qualified candidate for the following position:

Senior Community Development Officer - WETT - CD004 - Alice Springs

SO C (Commencing at $98,524 progressing to $106,389) 3 year fixed term contract

Based in Alice Springs, this position is responsible for leading and managing a team of Community Development (CD) Officers in overseeing the operations of the Warlpiri Education and Training Trust (WETT) with a particular emphasis on supporting WETT's Warlpiri governance groups to apply their royalty income to education and training projects that achieve their social, cultural and economic objectives. The candidate must have tertiary qualifications in community development or other relevant field and at least five (5) years working within community development preferably in Central Australia. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
