Ranger Group Coordinators x2 - Tenant Creek and Daguragu

These two positions will be based independently of one another in Tennant Creek and Daguragu. The positions will coordinate, supervise and support the development of the Muru-Warinyi Ankkul and Murnkurrumurnkurru Rangers, an Indigenous Land Management initiative operating on Aboriginal-owned land, jointly managed national parks and other tenures in the regions. The coordinator will work with the Rangers, traditional owners and other stakeholders in implementing a wide range of identified natural and cultural resource management actions in the region.

The successful applicant will have relevant qualifications and/or demonstrated professional competence in leadership, ecology, natural resource management or related fields. Demonstrated experience in the effective coordination and supervision of small teams would be valuable. Experience in community-based planning, strong cross-cultural awareness, good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with Aboriginal people is essential.

Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and PBI salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
