The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people across the southern half of the Northern Territory—an area of almost 780,000 square kilometres.
The CLC provides its constituents with advice, advocacy and practical assistance to support their aspirations, manage their land and realise and protect their rights.

Under the direction of the CLC Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the General Manager (GM) is responsible for:
The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications and membership of the CPA Australia or the ICAA. You will have extensive experience in strategic/corporate planning, management of the strategic financial direction, general management of corporate services functions e.g. finance, human resources, information technology, asset and commercial management. You will have experience in all aspects of the management of staff and resources, in the creation of a working environment that encourages work recognition and job satisfaction. You will have exemplary communication and interpersonal skills including ability to prepare clear and concise reports, submissions, briefing and general correspondence. Advanced skills in negotiation, consultation and liaison with senior staff, clients, community organisations, industry groups, government departments and agencies.
An Ochre Card (working with vulnerable people check), National Police Clearance and a driver's licence are mandatory requirements for all employees employed at the Central Land Council.

Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
