The Central Land Council (CLC) is a corporate Commonwealth entity established under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976. The CLC represents traditional landowners, native title holders and other Aboriginal people across the southern half of the Northern Territory—an area of almost 780,000 square kilometers.

The CLC provides its constituents with advice, advocacy and practical assistance to support their aspirations, manage their land and realise and protect their rights.

Coordinator, Ranger Training and Development - LM007 - Alice Springs

Under the direction of the Manager, Land Management, this position will provide coordination and strategic direction to the activities of the CLC Ranger Training and Development team in facilitating Aboriginal training and development outcomes in the CLC's Land Management Section, with an emphasis on the ranger program. The candidate who successfully fills this position will lead the effective implementation of the CLC Ranger Program Training and Development Strategic Plan and work closely with HR to ensure effective integration of Ranger Training and Development Strategies with the broader organisational goals, policies and processes. You will oversee the delivery of appropriate mentor services to Aboriginal Rangers and the operational delivery of Ranger Works across the CLC region. The candidate must have relevant tertiary qualifications (Human Resources, Training, Community Services or Similar) and/or Extensive experience in achieving successful employment and training outcomes for Aboriginal people. Total effective package includes: base salary, district allowance, superannuation, leave loading, relocation assistance, annual airfare allowance and salary packaging options. Annual progression within the salary scale is subject to satisfactory performance. Progression is in accordance with annual increments set out in an enterprise agreement.
