Position overview:

We are seeking a Member Engagement Manager to join our WA team in our Perth office. The role is responsible for all aspects of membership engagement, retention and member recruitment in WA.

The Member Engagement Manager will also manage and coordinate the Trustee event programs in conjunction with the State Director and Associate Director to further maximise the member value proposition.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute membership territory plan with CEDA’s systems and processes
  • Maintain and progress WA’s membership pipeline and secure membership reflecting WA’s economy sector mix
  • Proactively recruit new members across all membership categories
  • Manage the Trustee event program liaising with State Director and Associate Director to maximise the opportunities for CEDA and members
  • Maintain accurate records of prospective members and produce member engagement reports
  • Provide evidence-based advice on membership trends, strategy and forecasts
  • Engage State based and National members across CEDAs program and products in WA
  • Represent CEDA, sourcing, meeting with and hosting prospects
  • Induct new members to ensure deep and lasting engagement with CEDA and CEDA products
  • Understand members’ business needs, interests, concerns and their alignment to CEDA’s work

Required qualifications and experience:

The successful candidate will have the following key skills and attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification (desirable), marketing, public relations or communications degree a plus
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of membership attraction and retention strategies
  • Experience in a B2B sales environment or membership organisation
  • Communicate with influence - strong written and verbal and telephone management communication skills; can negotiate confidently and build reputation
  • A keen interest in the public policy environment, business, current affairs, and the economic and social development of Australia
  • A critical thinker who operates strategically
  • Takes responsibility for managing work to achieve results – project management approaches; working well autonomously and with others; adapting to change and dealing with competing demands
  • Build and sustain positive relationships – collaborating; customer focused; anticipating and responding to stakeholder needs and expectations; interacts effectively with senior executive personnel
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated networks in the professional business community of WA
  • Active social media user in a professional capacity
  • Experience with iMIS CRM would be highly regarded
  • Values aligned to CEDA’s organisational values (trust, curious, succeed together, brave and passionate)
