About the role

The Coordinator, Volunteering Planning and Support will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supporting the implementation of strategies to engage Cancer Council Queensland’s (CCQ) loyal and valued volunteers. This role is a state-wide influence with a focus on volunteer support and engagement.

This role allows you to be an integral part of the CCQ team and contribute to our fantastic Volunteer team!

Your duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of Volunteer policies and procedures
  • Support the development, evaluation and implementation of volunteer programs and events as well as contribute to the skills progression opportunities
  • Support management in recruitment, mobilisation and resourcing of volunteers
  • Management of volunteer management systems and databases
  • Coordinate recognition programs for volunteers to influence the way volunteers engage and experience CCQ

This role is a Permanent Part-time role (22.5 hours per week).

About you

To be successful in the role, you will have experience working with volunteers and a demonstrated background in the development and implementation of volunteer strategy and practices. Experience in volunteering management systems would be highly desirable.

Innovation is highly regarded along with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. The ability to respond to changing circumstances in a flexible and adaptable way is of high importance.

The ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects is critical for success in this role and demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office suite and databases is required.
