We are offering a 12mth full time role that has a blend of administration; data management; team admin support; relationship management; fundraising event support; and the opportunity to do it with a leading not for profit that gives a sense of purpose!

Organisation Context

This role will see you join our Community Engagement (CE) Division who ensure that we are able to connect with and understand the distinct needs of the communities in which we work. Our connections through these vast regional networks enable us to offer events, fundraising initiatives, and programs at a truly local level.

This varied role will see you responsible for providing operational administration support to the Metro Sydney region, tracking and reporting for regional fundraising events and cancer program services and general office support!

Detail

Based primarily in the Woolloomooloo office, many of the tasks covered by this 12mth Maternity Leave are heavy admin-related, community area specific, tasks.

As the first point of contact for anything happening within the local Metro region, key responsibilities will be:

  • Team admin support, primarily for fundraising events
  • Coordinating the administration and financial processes for the region
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and files for all events, including website management
  • Maintaining current information in databases becoming the system subject matter expert
  • Support event planning, tracking and reporting as required
  • Support management of Community Fundraising VIP supporters as directed
  • Continuously review process and practice based on a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and learning
  • Respond to all incoming enquiries for fundraising events
  • Recruit, train and lead events administration volunteers; provide support to events support volunteers and committees
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock level, anticipating needed supplies, placing orders and verifying receipts
  • Assist with events marketing and collateral production to promote fundraising events
  • Provide key support to overall team fundraising operations as guided by Community Lead

We are looking for a team support all-rounder with passion, drive and a genuine “can-do” attitude who enjoys the relationship management side of a role as much as the administration side. You will need:

  • Team administration experience with an interest in event support
  • Excellent communication skills and high level of customer service
  • High level computer and excel skills plus excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated high-level organisational skills with ability to multitask/manage multiple projects simultaneously and achieve results on deadline
  • Enjoyment in a deadline driven, fast paced environment
  • Experience with data management systems

NOTE: Internally this role is called Community Operations Administrator. If successful for the role, you will be required to complete a successful Working with Children Check.
