What will you be responsible for?

Joining our IT team, as part of the wider Finance, Strategy & Operations Division, the Product Owner Integration is responsible for understanding business requirements to undertake improvements to our existing systems; advising stakeholders of best practice; whilst balancing business requirements with technical constraints.

Reporting to the CIO, and part of a wider supportive IT team of approximately 16, you will work with applications that maintain information about CCNSW’s supporters; fundraising events and activities; cancer information dissemination; cancer support and cancer research activities.

The Product Owner Integration is responsible for understanding business requirements, to undertake improvements to our existing systems, advising stakeholders of best practice whilst balancing business requirements with technical constraints. Put simply, make sure data flows across systems – Build all the connections to make all systems speak to each other!

Detail

You will make changes to our integration platform, adhering to our change control and software development lifecycle, using Dell Boomi, and partner with business and vendor stakeholders to prioritise and deliver new capabilities and improvements. Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications is essential!

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Defining the goals of Sprints and Releases, including the release date, content and any associated budgets
  • Creating, maintaining, prioritising and sequencing the product backlog based on value-add
  • Working with stakeholders on business requirements and user stories, translating them into technical specifications (including estimates) for delivery.
  • Working with internal and external team members including off shore development teams to deliver on organisational needs.
  • Provide support for our core systems, including defects, requests and maintenance.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer of business logic and technical information to team members to ensure a high-quality product is delivered that meets business requirements.
  • Provide thorough unit-testing of deliverables and refactoring to ensure software efficiency and data integrity of systems.
  • Document system configuration, installation, incident reports and resolutions.

Want to be considered?

You will need:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role with solid integration experience so as to work autonomously with confidence, however knowing you are also supported by a wider IT team
  • A collaborative approach and ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Demonstrable experience in solution design
  • Demonstrable experience in development of Integration and associated technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience with HTML, JavaScript, C# and .NET framework.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle management.
  • A proven track record of assuring high quality in development outputs.
  • Demonstrable use of Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical people and all levels of stakeholders.
  • Experience with Dell Boomi product will be looked on favorably, however not essential
