What will you be responsible for?

Analysing, developing, delivering, maintaining and supporting the various technologies and solutions being used at CCNSW, the Developer works as an integral part of a cross-functional development team doing everything necessary to deliver value to our business stakeholders.

At the core of this technology stack is our implementation of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, which plays a pivotal role in our business and IT strategy, but also will be a major component of the workload for this role, covering all facets of configuration, development and best practice usage.

The Developer will work with applications that maintain information about CCNSW’s constituents; fundraising events and activities; cancer information dissemination; cancer support; and cancer research activities.

You will be responsible for understanding business requirements to undertake improvements to our existing systems, advising stakeholders of best practice whilst balancing business requirements with technical constraints.

Primarily based at our Woolloomooloo office, reporting to the Application Delivery Manager, the key purpose of your role will be to:

  • Work with internal and external team members to deliver on organisational needs.
  • Facilitate training and coaching of users and superusers of our core systems for any new functionality delivered.
  • Work with stakeholders on business requirements, translating them into technical specifications (including estimates) for delivery.
  • Make changes to our core systems adhering to our change control and software development lifecycle processes.
  • Provide support for our core systems, including defects and improving CRM performance.
  • Design, develop, implement, support and maintain Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online solutions.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer of business logic and technical information to team members to ensure a high-quality product is delivered that meets business requirements.
  • Provide thorough unit-testing of deliverables and refactoring to ensure software efficiency and data integrity of systems.
  • Document system configuration, installation, incident reports and resolutions.
  • Follow coding best practices and delivery team processes
  • Actively participate in code reviews

Want to be considered?

It’s essential that you are a clear communicator with a passion for technology. You will also bring tertiary qualifications in a related field, with proven experience in a similar position plus:

Demonstrated experience with Dynamics CRM customisations (Plugins, Custom Workflows, Organisation Services and OData Services).

  • Configurations of Dynamics CRM Online.
  • Dynamics CRM solution deployments.
  • Demonstrable experience with C#, .NET framework, HTML, JQuery and JavaScript.
  • Experience with WebAPI.
  • Experience with GIT.
  • Experience with SQL Server.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with others to identify business requirements.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Excellent understanding of the software development lifecycle management.
  • A proven track record of assuring high quality in development outputs.
  • Up to date on the latest trends in development technologies.
  • Demonstrable use of Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain business knowledge.
