Based primarily in the Woolloomooloo office, with an opportunity to be based in one of our regional CCNSW offices, you will be part of the wider People & Communications (P&C) team.

The role will be accountable for the delivery of priority people and communications projects, coupled with providing support and collaborating across the team to undertake project planning, consultation, implementation and evaluation.

Detail

The primary focus for the 6mths will be the Employee and Volunteer Engagement survey, currently being completed by employees and volunteers via an external provider. This role will be seen as the SME and lead for the collation of the feedback, outcomes roll out and action plans, with our focus to be an “Inspirational Place to Volunteer and Work”.

Reporting to an HR Business, you will:

  • Develop, implement and evaluate priority projects that deliver on Cancer Council’s Strategy of becoming an “Inspirational Place to Volunteer and Work”.
  • Coordinate the development, implementation and follow-up of workforce engagement surveys and action planning as part of efforts to better understand our workforce and improve their experience and engagement with CCNSW ongoing.
  • Facilitate progression of project work in accordance with agreed plans and change management principles.
  • Provide status reporting and support of priority projects across the broader team to ensure a holistic view is taken and a coordinated approach is maintained.
  • Develop and maintain key project stakeholder relationships as required.
  • Work collaboratively across the P&C team and beyond to involve expert contributors to optimise project outcomes.
  • Consult with key internal stakeholders during the development and implementation of priority projects.
  • Provide support on adhoc P&C projects as and when required

Who are you?

You are a collaborator with a diplomatic approach. You will have the confidence, based on your depth of prior experience, to work autonomously on this piece of work, however knowing you will have the support of the wider team.

You will also need:

  • Demonstrated experience leading workforce-related projects and programs.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating, networking and influencing internal and external stakeholders to gain support for initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and develop ongoing relationships/partnerships with key stakeholders to support achievement of objectives.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Extensive experience in project management and demonstrated skills in managing change.
  • Strong communications/interpersonal, and consulting skills.
  • Strong analytic/problem solving skills and decision making abilities.
