Opportunity exists for an experienced Program Quality Officer to join the International Programs team in a values-driven International Development organisation.

Key focus of our International Programs Department: 

  • To promote and support effective and disability inclusive programs to alleviate poverty, raise awareness of the rights of people with disabilities and include them in local change so that they have access to services and opportunities
  • To add value to CBM’s local partner organisations and national country offices by strengthening program implementation, contributing to partner capacity and promoting learning in our programs
  • To liaise with our fundraising, communications, advocacy and advisory teams to tell effective stories of change and support organisational outcomes

About the role

As a member of the International Programs (IP) Department, you will work closely with the Senior Advisor on Program Quality to: 

  • Be part of a team that supports learning, reflection and documentation of the work supported by the International Programs Department, and facilitates sharing and dissemination of our effectiveness
  • Establish ways to monitor and analyse the diversity of approaches and outcomes of our field programs
  • Package this material for use by our Public Engagement and fundraising teams, through writing and other media
  • Write grant proposals for specific opportunities, drawing on documentation and analysis
  • Support the team to meet quality and accountability requirements 

About you  

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Understanding of the approaches used in effective international development programs, and the principles of disability inclusion
  • Experience in developing processes to capture, track and summarise data.
  • Ability to synthesise and capture international development program learning, demonstrating an analytical and strategic use of information and data
  • Proven written skills; competent in writing for varied audiences in varied media; experience in writing case studies and reports
  • Ability to plan around set deadlines and deliver on time
  • An eye for detail with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Preferably, experience in international development and an understanding of disability issues
