POSITION SUMMARY

CBCA is seeking a proactive and creative Digital Marketing Officer to join our dynamic team. This part-time role (15 hours per week) will be pivotal in growing CBCA’s digital presence and supporting the development and promotion of our annual initiatives and merchandise.

Reporting to the Communications and Merchandise Convenors, this role will support all CBCA communications and support the design, development and sale of Children's Book Week® merchandise.

This is a highly collaborative position that involves overseeing all digital touchpoints, including the website (WordPress), social media, Shopify store, EDM, CRM and Google Ads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Digital Presence Management: Oversee CBCA’s digital touchpoints, including our website (WordPress), social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter), Shopify store, CRM, EDM, and Google Ads.
  • Content Creation: Develop and publish engaging content aligned with CBCA’s brand style for all channels, including social media, website, and promotional materials.
  • Merchandise Support: Manage the CBCA e-store, collaborate with the Merchandise Subcommittee on product development, liaise with third-party contractors and designers, and organise product uploads and updates.
  • Strategy & Reporting: Assist in digital strategy development and conduct data analysis for merchandise and communications activities.

Key Skills Required:

  • Proven experience managing e-commerce platforms (e.g. Shopify)
  • Strong written communication skills, with a focus on creating engaging online content
  • Proficiency in social media management across multiple platforms
  • Knowledge of website and e-commerce administration
  • Experience in Canva or other graphic design tools (preferred)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills
